Explorations in graphic design have pushed Tammy out of her comfort zone and enabled her to explore new ways to express ideas. Over the years, the inclusion of color in her work has been especially challenging, but the forgiveness that technology provides has allowed her to experiment and succeed in ways never previously imagined. Graphic design has taught her the value of simplicity and how to emphasize  the shapes of subjects as a whole rather than packing in details and rendering minutiae. Incorporating graphic design into her repertoire has sparked many new ideas and increased her desire to continue expanding her understanding and experiences of other art mediums.
